Document Arrived

Our letter of acceptance arrived this afternoon at 3:45 and I had to fly out of the house and get to town to turn it back around to the agency in Texas with our signatures. I'm going to be so happy when all of this paperwork is finished and I can stop driving around town like a mad woman with a sheet of paper that has to go here or there! Now we get to wait again for a couple of weeks until we receive our travel approval from China. In the meantime, the kids and I have been enjoying tons of time outside in this beautiful weather and I'm working on mulching the backyard; yeah!!

Care Package Sent

This evening I ordered Solomon's care package! I am so excited to finally be able to send a gift to our new son and also this is our first contact of any kind with Sol. We sent three pictures of our family along with the gifts so that he can become somewhat familiar with at least what we look like. The bad news is that, while the Chinese woman who is arranging the gift and delivery has been extremely helpful, she hit a brick wall in attempting to get any updated information on Solomon. The orphanage in charge of his care will not release any information at all and the information we do have is more than two years old. Not the answer I was hoping to hear!!

LOA Letter of Acceptance!

On Thursday the 24th, we received our LOA for Song (Solomon) Xiao Ming! We are so excited!! So the next step is to wait on our travel approval and then off to China for us. We are expecting to travel sometime in September. I'm hoping for around the 11th so we'd be back in the US by the end of the month. We can't wait to hold our little guy in our arms! Jed and Alice are really excited too, they spent half the day yesterday playing "adoption" with all of their stuffed toys.
